Recreational Rebreather "WEEKS"

"SILENT PICO" A rebreather is still a rebreather to most dive centres whether it is for recreational or technical. The rebreather is beginning to play a large role in the recreational diving arena and allows users to get up “close and personal” with the marine life which is a truly amazing feeling here around Pico and also giving you plenty of dive time within the no-decompression limits to take that stunning picture.  Finding a dive centre that is rebreather friendly especially in the recreational field is difficult but here at Dive the Azores we are both REC and TEC rebreather friendly not “tolerant”. We have rebreather and bailout cylinders available with boosted gas supplies of oxygen and helium we have onsite 408, 797 and 812 sofnolime and can supply self load cartridges also.  We understand as rebreather divers and instructors you need time to prepare and test your equipment along with dis-assemble so why not spend a weeks rebreather diving with other like minded rebreather divers. A full week of silence and NO bubbles allowed

With personalised training and taking enough time, we make sure you are truly comfortable under water with the skills and equipment you will use. In general, an Open Water Rebreather Diver course consists of 3 parts: Academics, Pool Training and Open Water Sessions.

The TDI Training Materials and Online Training program are designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is convenient for you. You can complete the academics online when you sign up for TDI Online Training program, and then attend review sessions at your chosen TDI Dive Centre.

For your pool and open water training your instructor will personalise the fit of your rebreather so you will become comfortable in your “second skin”. In the pool you will learn and practice skills TDI believes that Comfort Through Repetition is the key to making you a diver not just teaching you to dive.

You will complete at least 6 open water dives and have the chance to experience everything you learned in the pool hands-on. After successful completion of your open water training dives you will become a Certified Diver. The TDI Open Water Rebreather Diver certification is recognised worldwide so your diving experiences will be limitless.
